The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of qualified accounts, ensuring long-term growth and client satisfaction. This role requires a high level of responsibility to generate strategic sales growth initiatives. It is a high-impact role requiring strategic thinking, with a focus on generating new business, identifying, targeting, and securing new clients across different verticals such as food & beverage, retail, pulp & paper, and pharma. This is a true hunter role reporting to the Director of Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new accounts by analyzing market trends to understand client needs and identify business opportunities.
  • Influence senior customer stakeholders and negotiate complex sales.
  • Anticipate customer needs and develop sales strategies to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Conduct daily outbound outreach via email, phone, and social media using sales engagement software to connect with prospects.
  • Engage with senior executives and marketing teams in targeted prospect accounts to discuss their complex business needs.
  • Gather relevant business information to develop effective pricing and service solutions for new prospects.
  • Establish and maintain new accounts through rigorous follow-up and monitoring.
  • Identify new business opportunities and coordinate meetings with decision-makers within client organizations.
  • Manage multiple accounts and submissions simultaneously.
  • Embrace change, learn from failures, and persist in efforts.

Experience, Qualifications & Attributes

  • Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A proven track record in sales/business development within the 3PL industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills with an influential, consultative, and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic, and quick to take initiative.
  • Highly motivated, goal-driven, results-oriented, and a team player.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel within North America.
