Job Description

Please note: This is a CONTRACT role until April 25, 2025.

What We Do:

Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) is the leading independent clearing broker and custodian in the Canadian market. We provide trade execution, clearing, custody and back-office support services to Canadian-based brokerage firms and the Canadian brokerage arms of U.S.-based firms. What You Will Do:

The New Accounts Administrator will be a valuable addition to FCC's Operations department.

  1. The New Accounts team is responsible for setting up new accounts into FCC's Dataphile environment in a timely manner.
  2. The role requires updates to Investor Maintenance which entails non-financial updates and performing quality checks on new accounts that have been system generated and manually input.
  3. You will ensure documents are in good order, input/update client data and notify clients of any deficiencies.
  4. You will be responsible for completion of daily tasks and transactions while ensuring compliance with internal and industry regulatory requirements.

What You Need:

  1. Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
  2. You have between 1 - 2 years’ of experience in the financial services industry.
  3. You are familiar with different account types such as Non-Registered Accounts (Cash, Margin, Joint etc.) as well as Registered Accounts (RRSPs, TFSAs, RESPs etc.).
  4. Strong MS Excel skills.

The following are assets:

  1. Knowledge of and/or experience in the brokerage industry.
  2. Completion of, or enrolment in, a financial services industry program (e.g. CSC).
  3. Bilingual (verbal and written) in French and English.
