We have an exciting permanent part-time (0.20 FTE) opportunity for an experienced Neuropsychologist to join the Interior Health team located at the Castlegar District Health Centre in Castlegar, B.C.

What will you work on?

This position is responsible for providing specialized neuropsychological services, including assessment, therapy (individual and group), treatment planning, and behavior management interventions for the assigned clinical practice area(s). The Neuropsychologist also contributes to quality improvement, program development, evaluation, and research. The role supports a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach within the continuum of Allied Health services.

Some Typical Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides specialized neuropsychological assessment services, utilizing standardized and evidence-based procedures, including cognitive, social/emotional/personality, academic, vocational, and behavioral assessments.
  • Works within a bio/psycho/social treatment model as part of a multidisciplinary team, integrating assessment results into the broader treatment plan.
  • Delivers evidence-based (behavioral and cognitive-behavioral) short-term individual therapy/counseling interventions.
  • Provides group therapy services and consultation to group programs as required.
  • Provides direction and leadership to team members regarding treatment utilization and evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborates with the BC Neuropsychiatry program and offers neuropsychological services and consultation to clients/patients as appropriate.
  • Provides clinical supervision to psychology students and interns as required.
  • Engages in continuing competency activities in line with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Scheduling Information

Shift types are days, from 08:00 to 15:42 hours. The scheduled day of work is Thursday.
