About You:

As a Network Specialist at DataStealth, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and securing our network infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network solutions that ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data. The Network Specialist will also collaborate with our clients to understand their specific needs and proactively address any security challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Design and Implementation:
   1. Plan, design, and implement secure network architectures to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
   2. Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and other network devices to ensure optimal performance and security.
2. Security Monitoring:
   1. Monitor network traffic for anomalies and potential security breaches.
   2. Respond to and mitigate security incidents, and assist in forensic investigations.
3. Network Security Policies:
   1. Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and compliance standards.
4. Intrusion Detection and Prevention:
   1. Implement intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS) to detect and prevent unauthorized access to the network.
5. Vulnerability Assessment:
   1. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
6. Network Documentation:
   1. Maintain detailed network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and security policies.
7. Client Collaboration:
   1. Work closely with clients to understand their security requirements and provide tailored solutions.
8. Team Collaboration:
   1. Collaborate with our cybersecurity experts to provide integrated solutions for our clients.

Qualifications:

• Professional certifications such as Juniper JNCIA, CompTIA Network+, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is a plus
• Proven experience in network administration and security, including firewall and IDS/IPS management
• Experienced in planning, design, and implementing secure network architectures to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Strong experience with Juniper Networks
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, topologies, and security best practices
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

• Mac OS Experience is a plus
• Start-up experience is an asset
