DataDrill Communications Inc. is a dynamic company creating remote custom communication solutions for any geographic location, servicing clients in various sectors (Oil and Gas, Mining, etc.). DataDrill takes pride in their ability to get the job done safely with high customer satisfaction.

DataDrill is currently seeking a Network Technician – Tier 1. This position requires in-office presence and is open to those in Calgary (and surrounding area). To succeed, grow, and have fun within this company, the successful applicant will need the following Basic Skills:

1. Organization and attention to detail
2. Eagerness to learn and grow
3. Flexibility with shift schedule (paid after-hours On Call shifts are part of the position)
4. Ability to re-prioritize and multi-task as needed
5. Strong communication skills, both spoken and written, with respect and professionalism

Some additional Technical Skills and Experience Requirements are:

1. Networking diploma or a suitable combination of education and experience (asset)
2. Basic IT & Networking knowledge
3. Interest in Network Operations, hands-on equipment maintenance, and customer support
4. Network+ or Cisco Certifications, experience with FortiNet and/or Starlink (great assets)

The successful applicant for Network Technician – Tier 1 will be expected to:

1. Assemble, program, and test various network devices such as routers, modems, and switches
2. Monitor and maintain DataDrill’s satellite networks and provide reports internally and externally
3. Answer field staff and customer support calls professionally and efficiently
4. Work any day of the week, anytime between 6am – 9pm weekdays & 7am – 7pm weekends
5. Work 8-hour shifts on a predictable rotating schedule
6. Collaborate with operational and support teams to ensure premium service for clients
