An established industry player is seeking a qualified contractor to provide network support services across multiple Alberta locations. This role requires a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of experience in network services, capable of analyzing business IT requirements and integrating effective solutions. The position demands flexibility due to unpredictable work volumes, including potential weekend commitments. The successful candidate will lead a team to ensure the seamless operation of network services in high-stakes environments, contributing to the integrity of court proceedings. If you are passionate about technology and thrive in dynamic settings, this opportunity is perfect for you.
Prior to 2020, virtual technology was used in the Courts to connect with correctional institutions, remand centers, vulnerable victims, witnesses, and those unable to travel. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for virtual court proceedings increased, leading to the establishment of new Alberta King's Bench Jury Court operations across Alberta. This involved renting and furnishing new facilities, and establishing IT and audio-visual services using Webex, Microsoft M365 Teams, and other software to enable safe jury trials during the pandemic. Court users include judiciary, court staff, Ministry of Justice and Solicitor General staff, police, legal professionals, and the public both inside and outside Alberta.
The Province seeks a qualified Contractor to provide network support services at nine Alberta locations. Work volume is unpredictable, with possible last-minute jury trial cancellations or additions, and occasional weekend work. Services may be required at multiple locations simultaneously. Vendors must propose a team capable of providing support, estimated at once or twice per month, though no work volume is guaranteed. The Province will supply pre-purchased equipment necessary for service delivery.
The proposed resources will lead and manage day-to-day service work, selecting appropriate methodologies, techniques, and tools, and ensuring timely, within-budget, and quality-compliant completion.
For each network technician proposed, include:
