Overview

Network Specialist

CC TeraMach's onsite team is responsible for the proactive support and resolution of specific client issues related to their IT infrastructure/environment within established SLAs.

Summary of Responsibilities:

1. Assist in network design and implementation.
2. Provide network support across various operating systems.
3. Support users with network issues.
4. Provide 24/7 escalated hardware and network support, ensuring quick and quality problem resolution.
5. Develop and monitor policies for network resource usage.
6. Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.
7. Monitor network performance for optimal operation.
8. Create and maintain user permissions and network access.
9. Review and test new technologies and innovations.
10. Document technical support processes and procedures.

Technical Competencies:

• Experience with Ansible technology (training available).
• Cisco CCNA certification.
• Arista Cloud Engineer (ACE) Level 4 or higher preferred (training on Arista may be provided).
• Experience deploying and supporting enterprise wireless networks.
• Knowledge of network security principles.

Additional Assets:

• Experience supporting healthcare clients.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience using ITIL-based ticketing systems.

Knowledge/Core Competencies:

• Strong analytical skills to interpret data from various sources.
• Ability to assess, prioritize, and respond or escalate faults.

Education and Experience:

• Experience in a client-facing IT support role, ideally in 24/7 operations.
• Eligibility for Federal Government Security Clearance to Level 2 (Secret) and CPIC Clearance for Provincial Government.

Support Location and Work Schedule:

Primarily based in Downtown Toronto, with travel within GTA and Hamilton, Ontario as needed. The role involves a 5x8 shift (Monday-Friday) and participation in a 24x7x365 support schedule, requiring flexibility.
