Job Description

Are you a dedicated tech enthusiast with a knack for building top-notch computer networks? We're seeking a proficient Network Solutions Architect to craft and optimize seamless network infrastructures. In this role, you'll oversee the operation and maintenance of network components within a dynamic multi-vendor environment. Your expertise will drive problem analysis, software configuration, hardware replacement, all while maintaining professionalism and data security.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement efficient computer networks, including connections and cabling.
  2. Diagnose system glitches, troubleshoot network bottlenecks, and apply corrective actions.
  3. Identify and rectify issues within the LAN infrastructure, from minor glitches to substantial bugs.
  4. Configure and test software, and undertake hardware repair and maintenance.
  5. Evaluate network performance, proactively seeking optimization avenues.
  6. Plan and execute network upgrades and maintenance operations.
  7. Provide guidance and instructions to team members.
  8. Collaborate with peers to ensure expertise and quality.
Technical Proficiency
  1. 5 to 7 years of senior-level technical support, system administration, or equivalent client-facing experience in a fast-paced, technically demanding setting.
  2. Proficiency in cybersecurity incident response, containment, and remediation.
  3. Experience in system, network, and application rebuilding and restoration.
  4. Knowledge of VMWare ESX/Hyper-V, Active Directory design and troubleshooting.
  5. Strong skills in Windows environments, including troubleshooting Windows Services and low-level OS/network issues.
  6. Experience with diverse hardware platforms such as NAS, SAN, servers, and networking devices.
  7. Excellent communication skills for addressing customer issues and championing their success.
  8. Deep understanding of networking protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP), DHCP, DNS, VPN, IPV4, and IPV6.
  9. Experience with network switching (L2/L3), VLANs, port security, and enterprise wireless solutions (Cisco, Aruba, FortiNet).
  10. Familiarity with firewalls (Cisco ASA, Cisco FTD, CheckPoint, FortiNet PaloAlto, Cisco Meraki).
  11. Skills in network traffic analysis and capture.
  12. Strong analytical and organizational skills for independent and team work.
Qualifications
  1. Experience as a network technician or similar role.
  2. Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  3. Understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and Wi-Fi technologies.
  4. TIL version 3 Foundation or Practitioner Certification.
  5. Post-secondary degree, diploma, or equivalent in IT.
  6. Vendor certifications such as ACMA/ACMP, ACDA/ACDP preferred.
  7. BSc/BA in computer science, engineering, or related field (preferred).
  8. Experience in solution design and technical infrastructure implementation.
  9. Ability to produce technical support documentation.
  10. Experience with technical builds, requirements gathering, and translating needs into infrastructure specifications.
  11. Expertise in security services (access management, network security, email, endpoint security).
  12. Knowledge of modern data centers, private clouds, SDWAN, routing, switching, firewalls, Citrix ADC, VPN.
  13. Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
