Network Solutions and Security Architect

This position is:

On-site - working all 5 days per week in the Office

The Architect, as part of the Network Solutions and Security Architecture group, is responsible for developing solutions that meet business and operational connectivity and security requirements. This includes communicating these requirements to infrastructure, network connectivity, and security policy teams. The role is highly technical and project-driven, ensuring the deployment and operation of key systems are stable, secure, and optimal.

The successful candidate will collaborate with various business groups (Carrier Networks, Security, Mobility, etc.), create all design documentation, and generate detailed 'build tickets' for implementation teams.

We seek a strategic, analytical thinker, motivated and focused, with a strong drive to embed security into system design.

Responsibilities:

• Extensive experience as a network administrator with Cisco, Juniper, or both (preferred).
• Experience with network security, including firewall administration with Juniper, Palo Alto Networks (preferred).
• Experience in network design and architecture at large scales.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to collaborate deeply with diverse teams, define project scope, gather requirements, and identify dependencies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to produce solution options and evaluate approaches.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, and SSH applications.
• Advanced networking and security knowledge.
• IP addressing, Layer 2 switching, data center Ethernet fabrics, Layer 3 routing, and security technologies.

Assets include:

• MPLS, VMware environment, VMware NSX firewall, Windows and *nix OSs, Containers, IT automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, PowerShell, Orchestration), Juniper Apstra, HP NNM, Splunk, Arbor, SIEM, and security concepts like Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability.
