Job summary

Raas Infotek LTD in Calgary seeks a Network Security / Firewall Consultant on a contract basis. You will provide Level 3 support for Cisco ASA, Firepower, and Palo Alto, design policies, manage VPNs, and drive incident resolution.

Requires 6–10+ years in network security, hands-on Palo Alto and Cisco firewall experience, TCP/IP knowledge, VPNs, and change management. This role collaborates with SOC, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams and includes on-call duties.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of experience in Network Security / Firewall Administration.
• Minimum 4+ years hands-on experience with Palo Alto and Cisco Firewall platforms.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Routing Protocols, VPNs, and Security Architecture.
• Experience in Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 support for Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network security incidents, escalations, and outages.
• Design, review, and implement firewall security policies, NAT rules, and ACLs.
• Configure and support Site-to-Site VPNs, Remote Access VPNs, IPSec, and SSL VPNs.
• Perform firewall upgrades, migrations, patching, and firmware management.
• Conduct RCA and prepare incident/problem management reports.
• Monitor firewall health, performance, capacity, and security threats.
• Collaborate with SOC, Network, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, audit requirements, and change management.
• Participate in on-call support and major incident bridges.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. Provide Level 3 support for Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower (FTD/FMC), and Palo Alto firewalls.
2. 2. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network security incidents, escalations, and service outages.

11. 11. Participate in on-call support and major incident bridges.
12. 12. Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
