Job Summary:

Under management guidance, the Production Planner develops and maintains weekly master production schedules, analyzes capacity against these schedules, and uses them to develop material requirements plans.

Job Duties / Essential Functions:

1. Maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries, meet orders, and minimize costs, balancing warehouse capacity.
2. Prepare and produce master production schedules using JDE planning systems for assigned product categories.
3. Collaborate with S&OP team, Warehouse, and Facility teams to set and maintain inventory targets.
4. Develop supplier schedules based on the master schedule.
5. Maintain relevant master data in JDE to ensure efficient system messaging.
6. Track key performance indicators such as production plan adherence and capacity utilization.
7. Analyze shortages and develop corrective actions.
8. Plan to meet orders during planned maintenance and unexpected downtime.
9. Coordinate with Supply Chain Managers and S&OP Analysts to rebalance production as needed.
10. Ensure promotional management requirements are met.
11. Monitor and control changes to the production schedule.
12. Proactively manage supply chain risks and escalate issues appropriately.
13. Adhere to all safety procedures.
