This position is based in Woodstock, NB. To service the area effectively and efficiently, the candidate must be based out of Woodstock NB. By the effective date, you are required to willingly relocate to Woodstock, NB, or a suitable neighboring region as agreed upon with your Manager. Failure to comply with this condition may result in disciplinary action up to and including revocation of the offer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain and support operation of Fixed Wireless, Fibre to the Premise, Satellite, and IP devices (switches, UPS, etc.)
- Provide 3rd level technical support for Tier 2 unresolved technical issues via phone and tickets
- Act as a technical liaison between Engineering, Network Operations, and Field Operations
- Maintain network elements (switches, routers, backhaul, access points) and perform proactive analysis of network statistics to identify potential fault trends
- Handle emergency escalations promptly and efficiently, adhering to procedures, templates, and ticketing practices
- Ensure standards are maintained when communicating with customers and cross-functional teams
- Serve as a technical liaison between internal groups and external partners
- Monitor network alarms, troubleshoot logically to determine root causes, and proactively resolve issues
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A relevant Diploma/Degree or a combination of practical work experience and education
- 2-5 years of enterprise IT experience in an enterprise computing environment
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in LAN and WAN operations
- Broad knowledge of IT and business processes supporting enterprise application delivery
- Knowledge of technologies such as SNMP, HTTP, VLANs, Internet security software, VoIP, databases, email, and web servers is an asset
- Experience with point-to-multipoint wireless networks and/or VSAT networks with an ISP is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
