Job summary

DataDrill Communications Inc. in Calgary is seeking a Network Operations Technician to join our NOC and support enterprise networking, satellite technologies, and remote communication systems across Canada and the US.

The role requires a networking diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of relevant experience. You will configure, monitor, and maintain equipment, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate with field teams to deliver reliable connectivity.

Qualifications

• Networking diploma or equivalent education/experience.
• 3+ years of experience in networking, telecommunications, IT infrastructure, remote communications, or related technical environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPN, DHCP, DNS, wireless networking, troubleshooting methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, configure, test, and maintain networking and communication equipment.
• Monitor, maintain, and support DataDrill’s satellite networks and remote communication systems.
• Investigate, document, and resolve network incidents while escalating complex issues appropriately.
• Provide internal and external reports relating to overall network operations and system performance.
• Collaborate with operations, technical support, and field teams to deliver exceptional customer experience.
• Participate in equipment preparation and deployment activities supporting customer infrastructure requirements.
