Your Position & How You Will Contribute :

Are you a highly capable network professional with a keen eye for detail and a drive to ensure excellence in network deployments? Our rapidly expanding fiber-only ISP is seeking a Network Implementation Specialist to join our team in Markham, Ontario.

Reporting to the Manager, Network Engineering, this full-time role will be instrumental in expanding and ensuring the quality of our network infrastructure. Working within a Juniper-centric environment, you will bridge design and execution, ensuring deployments meet high standards and contribute to a superior customer experience. Responsibilities & Key Duties include :

What You'll Do :

  • Oversee Network Deployments: Manage and execute network scaling activities, including deploying new Points-of-Presence (PoPs) and integrating routers, PON equipment, fiber cabling, and DC plant.
  • Quality Control & Assurance: Conduct quality control on infrastructure, including work by sub-contracted teams, ensuring adherence to design specifications and standards.
  • Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues encountered during deployments within our Juniper core network.
  • Installation Practice Management: Develop, document, and enforce best practices for network installations, covering Outside Plant (OSP) and Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain accurate documentation for infrastructure and processes, contributing to a knowledge base.
  • Resource Forecasting Support: Provide data and insights for equipment forecasting aligned with build schedules.
  • Force Multiplier & Mentor: Act as a knowledge resource, building internal and external team capabilities through clear communication and expertise.

What You'll Bring :

  • Hands-on experience in network deployment, implementation, and quality assurance, preferably within a telecommunications or ISP environment.
  • Ability to manage deliverables from sub-contracted teams.
  • Practical experience with Juniper networking equipment and core network architectures.
  • Knowledge of fiber optic networks, PON technologies, and data center infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical information professionally.
  • Familiarity with deployment tools or scripting (e.g., Python) is a plus.

Education :

  • A diploma or degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Networking, IT, Engineering) is beneficial, but demonstrable experience and a successful track record are highly valued.
