Job summary

A technology services provider in Canada is seeking a Network Field Technician to travel to remote locations and perform installations of network equipment, including Cisco switches and Palo Alto firewalls. What you will be doing

• Travel with the client’s guide into remote heli-skiing lodges across Alberta and British Columbia (some 4–12 hours away, reached via rugged logging roads).
• Remove Juniper network gear and install/configure new Cisco switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and VeloCloud devices.
• Complete hands-on network configuration and connectivity testing.
• Ensure clean cabling and proper fiber management in lodge setups.
• Work in remote environments with flexible schedules to meet the mid November ski season deadline.
• Collaborate closely with the client’s staff while working independently in the field.

What you must have

• 2+ years’ hands-on Cisco networking experience
• Experience with Palo Alto and/or VeloCloud
• Juniper experience a nice-to-have.
• Strong troubleshooting and configuration skills.
• Adventurous and adaptable—comfortable traveling to remote sites and staying in lodges
• Nice to have experience with Mitel phone systems
