As a Network Engineer II, you maintain, understand, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with networked systems, servers, workstations, and user accounts. Your expert attention provides advanced technical support to ensure the stability and efficiency of IT infrastructure. You will handle network configuration, performance monitoring, issue resolution, and documentation maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of network protocols and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support for users by researching, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining hardware.
  • Investigate and solve Tier I network issues related to infrastructure and backups.
  • Provide mentorship for Tier I Network Engineers and / or Interns.
  • Evaluate automation toolsets, software, and products.
  • Collaborate with Network Engineers III to find ways to automate manual tasks.
  • Answer client questions by identifying basic problems through research and executing the appropriate actions for resolution.
  • Participate in customer meetings and effectively communicate progress updates.
  • Improve client support by writing, maintaining, and organizing documentation while managing accounts and permissions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Highly proficient verbal and written communication skills at all levels of organizations.
  • Highly proficient organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • High network and server proficiency.
  • Ability to engage strong problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 3+ years of network experience OR any combination of 5 years of education and network experience (required).
  • CompTIA A+ Certification, Network+ Certification, Microsoft Certifications, or any other IT Certifications are preferred.
