Job summary

Accenture Ottawa is seeking a network engineer who designs secure, high‑availability networks and leads complex incident response. You will combine deep platform expertise with automation to deliver predictable results at scale in regulated environments.

Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and operating campus/DC/private cloud architectures, implementing SD‑WAN, and leading P1/P2 incidents while driving RCA and corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering experience (enterprise/DC).
  • Expertise with routing/switching, NGFW, VPN, load balancing, DNS/DHCP/IPAM.
  • Automation skills (Ansible/Python) and Git-based workflows.
  • Incident leadership and documentation excellence.
  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field.
  • Eligibility for Reliability Clearance.

  • Engineer perimeter and micro‑segmentation strategies (NGFW, IDS/IPS, WAF) aligned to Zero Trust and ITSG‑33.
  • Implement SD‑WAN, remote access, and hybrid connectivity (IPSec/SSL, MPLS, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect).
  • Automate configuration and compliance checks with Ansible/Python; manage golden configs and CI pipelines.
  • Lead P1/P2 network incidents, perform packet captures, and drive RCA with corrective actions.
  • Define monitoring KPIs, telemetry, and synthetic tests; maintain runbooks and topology diagrams.
  • Collaborate with Cloud/Security teams on service onboarding and resilience patterns; support DR testing.

You are:

The Work:
  • Design, implement, and operate campus/DC/private cloud network architectures (EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, ECMP).

Ability to work shifts/on‑call; comfort working on‑site in high‑security environments.

Travel may be required based on client demand. Accenture promotes a client-centric, flexible work environment.

This role will require a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. Preferred location: Ottawa.

What You’ll Need
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering experience (enterprise/DC).

Bonus Points If You Have
  • Eligible for Top Secret Security Clearance or currently holds Top Secret Security Clearance status.

  • Professional certs (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE).

  • Experience with network observability and telemetry stacks.

  • Bilingual (English/French).

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location,role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full‑time employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below. The recruiting efforts for this position are intended to fill a brand new position. The base pay range shown below is intended as a guideline to reflect the majority of offers for this role. It does not represent a maximum limit — in some cases, actual compensation may exceed the range where appropriate.
