Job Title: Senior Network Architect
Location: Regina, SK. Must be in SK but can work hybrid environment
Duration: 24-month Contract

Position Summary:

• Our client is seeking a Senior Network Architect with a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in network architecture and design.
• This critical role is responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of the enterprise network and cybersecurity infrastructure, directly supporting the strategic objectives.
• Over the next two years, the successful candidate will contribute significantly to the evolution and maturity of the networking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions for data centers, enterprise LAN/WAN, and cloud environments.
• Architect and implement cybersecurity infrastructure aligned with enterprise security frameworks and best practices.
• Provide Level 3 support for complex network incidents and issues.
• Lead network projects, from initial requirements gathering to delivery and operational transition.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver network solutions that support strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain high-quality design documentation, including Conceptual and Detailed Solution Designs, Service Diagrams, and implementation guides.
• Create operational processes, training materials, and workflows to support sustainable network operations.
• Mentor junior technical staff and contribute to the knowledge-sharing culture across the organization.

Mandatory Qualifications
Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (Engineering degree not required)
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
• Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE)
• TOGAF Certification

Experience:

• Minimum 6 years of demonstrated experience designing complex network infrastructures, including data center, enterprise LAN/WAN, and cloud-based environments.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with network operations, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Proven project leadership skills with a track record of successful solution delivery.
• Expert-level knowledge of network technologies and protocols, and their application in solving real-world business challenges.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with network management tools (e.g., DCIM, DDI, NMS)
• Scripting and programming skills (Python, Perl, or similar languages)
• Familiarity with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Netmiko, Puppet, Chef)
• Knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, including NAC, NGFW, proxy, WAF, DDoS mitigation, and IPS/IDS
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams and mentoring junior team members
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions
