We are looking for a client orientated and energetic Intermediate Network Consultant for our Edmonton office. You will be responsible for building long-term client relationships that further business value, while providing consultancy services for the design and implementation of industry leading network technology solutions. You will work with clients to understand requirements through your savvy consulting skills, both business and technical.


A Day in the Life:
  • Develop network technology solutions, taking into account business and technical requirements, sizing, existing infrastructure, data protection, security requirements and governance and recovery objectives to ensure solutions resolve clients’ requirements and challenges
  • Design and/or implement standard or custom technical solutions
  • Participate in operational escalations to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary
  • Participate in implementation of network and system security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
  • Create relevant documentation as required (including but not limited to conceptual design, logical design, physical design, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, transition to operations information)
  • Participate in gathering data pertaining to customer needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements
  • Participate in recommending changes to improve systems and network configurations in client environments, and determine hardware or software requirements
What You Bring:
  • 5-7 years’ experience in infrastructure operations management and projects, with an emphasis on Network technologies
  • Strong communications skills and business acumen
  • Strong consulting presence, including advisory and project management knowledge/ skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
  • Cisco Certifications such as CCNP
  • Post-Secondary education

$60,835 - $79,847 a year Expected Salary Range plus 10% variable earnings
