The Edmonton Catholic School Division is seeking a technical support specialist to enhance technology use within the educational framework. The role entails maintaining and troubleshooting computers and networks, while collaborating with educators to support curriculum delivery. Candidates should possess a degree in computer science and have a strong customer service orientation. The job functions as a member of the School Support Services Unit and assists in the implementation and utilization of current and emerging technologies to meet or exceed the desired outcomes as mandated by Alberta Education and the Division.
The overall goal is to enable staff and students to use technology in the delivery of the curriculum. The key responsibilities include planning, acquiring, installing, configuring, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting and accounting for all computers/networks/software and peripheral devices in the school that are used for instructional purposes.

Knowledge & Experience
Degree or diploma in an area related to computer sciences, plus three years of directly related experience, including troubleshooting networked workstations
