Job summary

Nordstern Group of Companies seeks a Network and Security Technician to join our IT team in Winnipeg. You will help manage information systems, provide IT support, and contribute to cybersecurity across our manufacturing group.

The role includes IT Scrum participation, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory administration, asset management, and troubleshooting network, computer, and software issues. Occasional travel to other locations is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in network and systems administration.
• Cybersecurity training or certification.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in an IT Scrum environment.
• Own transportation and physical ability to climb stairs.
• Familiarity with Windows Server 2019, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, SonicWall VPNs, and VMs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the IT Scrum Team.
• Network and Systems Administration.
• Microsoft 365 and Active Directory Administration.
• IT asset management.
• Diagnose and solve network/computer/software issues.
• Work with end users to address requests/problems in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Participate in Cybersecurity program development.
• Configure and support security tools such as firewalls, XDR, patch management, and SIEM.
• Participate in the administration of network security policies, access control and corporate data safeguards.
• Participate in the Cybersecurity Incident Response Team.
• Travel to other locations (occasional)
