Job summary

Nordstern Group of Companies is seeking a Network and Security Technician to join our IT team in Winnipeg. You will participate in the IT Scrum Team, administer networks, manage Microsoft 365 and Active Directory, and support security tools and incident response.

We offer a $2000 hiring bonus, competitive salary, full benefits including RRSP matching, and training for career growth; occasional travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have network and systems administration training and/or experience.
• Cybersecurity training.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.
• Own transportation and ability to climb stairs.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving.
• Cooperative, collaborative team player.
• Experience with Windows Server 2019, Active Directory and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the IT Scrum Team.
• Network and Systems Administration.
• Microsoft 365 and Active Directory Administration.
• IT asset management.
• Diagnose and solve network/computer/software issues.
• Assist end users with requests/problems in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Participate in Cybersecurity program development.
• Configure and support security tools (firewalls, XDR, patch management, SIEM).
• Assist in network security policy administration and data safeguards.
• Contribute to the Cybersecurity Incident Response Team.
• Occasional travel to other locations.
