The Network Administrator is responsible for the management of the servers' infrastructure and workstations fleet, from a software and hardware perspective.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Manage the servers and respond to any software and/or hardware issues
Maintain computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware
Install and configure network equipment to update or resolve hardware and/or software issues
Manage the corporate network security programs. Communicate with employees when new courses are available and ensure timely completion by employees
Monitor computer systems to improve network performance and make recommendations for improvements and modifications
Communicate network issues to impacted employees and management
Identify and resolve software and hardware configuration issues
Mentor and train less senior staff
Acknowledge and respond to Help Desk requests as needed
Create and document processes
Other projects and duties as assigned by manager
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or relevant experience in lieu
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Network Administrator, preferably in a technology organization
Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of various types of hardware
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated project management skills
Must be able to communicate at a high level in French and English
Certifications in Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or MS Windows Server and Windows Client, preferred not required
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
