A steel manufacturing company based in Orillia, ON, is seeking a full-time Network Administrator. Opportunity: One of our Steel Manufacturing Industry clients based out in Orillia, ON is looking for a “Network Administrator” for a full-time opportunity

Job Details:

Position: Network Administrator

Location: Orillia, ON

Position type: Full-time, Onsite

What You'll Do:

  • Manage IT Infrastructure: Implement, maintain, and upgrade our network (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, switches, routers, firewalls) and data center environment, including vSphere, Windows, and Linux servers.
  • Provide Technical Support: Administer workstations, printers, and industrial equipment such as data collection devices and time clocks.
  • Ensure System Reliability: Monitor and manage backup and recovery systems for servers, SAN, CCTV, and workstations.
  • Support End-Users: Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and assist employees with MS Office Suite and other applications.
  • Strategic Growth: Assist with IT development and integration projects to align with our overall business goals.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in information systems support, with a strong preference for a manufacturing environment.
  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field. Professional IT certifications are a plus.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory and network protocols (DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to identify issues and implement improvements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a patient, user-friendly approach to end-user support.
