Job summary

Jobtailor in Waterloo Region, Canada seeks a data governance analyst to analyze, cleanse, validate and reconcile master and financial data for NetSuite migration, ensuring accuracy across source and target systems.

You will design repeatable post‑go‑live data quality processes, support user acceptance testing and trial data loads, and coordinate with Finance to align trial balances, AP/AR subledgers and the chart of accounts, delivering governance SOPs for long‑term data quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Data Analytics, Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of progressive work experience, including ERP implementations
• Strong data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation skills
• Comfort working with large datasets; Excel and CSV experience, SQL a plus
• Solid understanding of master data and financial/accounting data, including GL, AP, AR, and chart of accounts
• Experience defining data governance and data quality processes
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a contract capacity
• Organized and detail-oriented, with ability to align multiple workstreams and stakeholders
• Experience with NetSuite preferred
• Prior project coordination experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Analyze, cleanse, validate, and reconcile master data and financial data for migration into NetSuite
• Design and document repeatable post-go-live data quality, governance, validation, and ownership processes
• Verify migrated data against source systems and resolve discrepancies
• Support user acceptance testing and trial data loads in the sandbox
• Partner with Finance stakeholders to reconcile trial balances, AR/AP subledgers, and item catalogs
• Support final migration of master data and opening balances
• Deliver documented Data Governance SOPs for long-term data quality
• Coordinate implementation workstreams and stakeholders to keep the ERP implementation on track
