NetSuite Administrator (12 Month Contract)

Position Overview:

The NetSuite Administrator will be responsible for the performance and optimization of NetSuite modules within BFG, including Finance, Operations, Customer (CRM), Human Capital Management, and Project Management. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role requires a strong understanding of business operational processes, along with excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills to support internal stakeholders in understanding, applying, and optimizing NetSuite's capabilities to meet BFG’s business requirements.

Work Location:

The position is based on-site at our office in Markham, Ontario, Canada. A minimum of 4 days per week in the office is required.

Employment Type: 12-month contract position, with the possibility of extension.

NetSuite Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary NetSuite point of contact and subject matter expert for BFG users.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into system enhancements, customizations, and configurations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Design, configure, develop, test, and implement solutions from both technical and business perspectives of NetSuite.
  • Maintain system and user documentation, troubleshoot issues, manage data, and support users.
  • Perform ongoing maintenance and optimization of NetSuite modules, including financials, project management, operations, inventory, purchasing, HCM, and CRM.
  • Develop and implement custom workflows, saved searches, reports, and dashboards to support business operations and efficiency.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, including process flows, configurations, and training guides.
  • Collaborate to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, system errors, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Stay up to date with NetSuite enhancements, support system upgrades, and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business information systems.
  • Experience with financial reporting and analysis is preferred.
  • Completion of NetSuite certifications (e.g., Suite Foundation, Administrator, ERP Consultant).
  • 5–7 years of project management experience in implementing NetSuite modules including financials, ERP, inventory, warehouse management, projects, HR, and payroll.
  • Proven subject matter expert in NetSuite ERP Suite modules.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially with accounting software applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to create documentation for processes and procedures.
  • Ability to generate reports and present analyses to senior management.
  • Proficient in custom record types, fields, forms, roles, permissions, searches, reports, and understanding of NetSuite data model.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail under pressure and deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills with stakeholders, teams, and users.
