OVERVIEW
The Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s enterprise-level systems strategy. Their primary role is to ensure that their assigned systems are operating efficiently, securely, and effectively to support the manufactured housing, recreational vehicle, accounting/financial, and miscellaneous ancillary business objectives.
JOB DUTIES
- Develops and implements strategic system roadmap and initiatives to align with Sun's goals and objectives
- Partners with business leaders across Sun to inform and gain buy-in on the system vision, strategy, features, budgets, and priorities
- Stays informed of and has an understanding of high-level business processes performed at Sun across the various systems within the enterprise technology architecture
- Oversees installations, configurations, and implementations on assigned systems
- Monitors and ensures assigned systems' availability, performance, and security, promptly resolving any issues or business disruptions that may arise
- Conducts regular system assessments and participates in security audits to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and areas for improvement and work to implement appropriate measures to mitigate them
- Develops and maintains system documentation, including operating and support procedures, configurations, and technical specifications
- Leads required upgrades and enhancements to the assigned system
- Collaborates with external vendor partners and cross-functional internal team members to gather requirements, analyze needs, design, and implement appropriate system solutions
- Oversees any acquisition, disposition, and conversion tasks related to assigned systems
- Manages relationships with external vendor partners and technology teams for assigned systems
- Maintains accurate system records, establishes contacts and effective support procedures, contract details, and manages key system dates
- Stays abreast of emerging tech trends and best practices, recommends system enhancements, and drives the adoption strategy
- Other tasks as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in information technology or related field (Required)
- 5 years experience in product ownership, system administration, or system support role
- 3 years experience in enterprise systems management, including the design, implementation, and maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think creatively to solve customer requests using configuration
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and reporting skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Visio
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and embrace change
- Knowledge of configuration and support best practices and methodologies
- Solid understanding of IT security principles and practices, including access controls, data protection, and compliance requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
