Job description

Title : DDR Intermediate .NET Software Developer - P3

Location : Canada - Remote

Reports to : Functional Manager

The Software Developer I contributes to all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle through analysis, design, implementation, verification, and maintenance of software solutions. This role works closely with Business Unit stakeholders to review requirements, validate designs, create work estimates, develop software, and verify product releases. The Software Developer I also collaborates with the Software Development Team Lead to define and implement best practices across all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.

Core Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Design and code software applications from business and technical specifications
  • Develop and execute unit, component, and integration tests to verify requirements are met
  • Perform code reviews to ensure quality, identify defects, and recommend improvements
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues for assigned projects
  • Create technical and end-user product documentation

Technical Lead Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Develop a detailed technical understanding of client needs and project requirements
  • Lead and coordinate daily technical tasks of engineering staff
  • Review and provide feedback on Software Design Documents with Architects
  • Act as the primary contact for Project Management updates
  • Collaborate on detailed work package estimates
  • Create, prioritize, assign, and monitor software development tasks
  • Education, Experience, and Competencies :

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • 5+ years of software development experience with .NET languages
  • Experience with .NET application servers
  • Experience with web servers like Apache HTTP Server or NGINX
  • Experience with version control software such as Git or Perforce
  • Experience with build tools like Maven or Ant
  • Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins or TeamCity
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
