Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned .NET-focused engineer to design and maintain modern cloud and Windows-hosted solutions. You will work across cross-functional teams to prioritize and deliver updates, while addressing technical debt and automation opportunities.

Key responsibilities include implementing secure authentication mechanisms, integrating APIs via HTTP/SOAP/REST, and refactoring legacy code. You will document changes and collaborate with partners across Canada and beyond.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with the .NET technology stack.
• Experience building, deploying, and maintaining cloud and Windows-hosted components.
• Experience with security/authentication mechanisms like OAuth, AD, and certificates.
• Experience with HTTP, SOAP, and REST APIs for cloud and enterprise apps.
• Understanding XML structures to move data between platforms.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and refactoring legacy code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain technical solutions supporting legacy .NET applications on Windows 10/11 and Windows Servers, including desktop application components
• Suggest areas for improvement within the application suite to eliminate technical debt and enhance automation
• Document all updates and changes to applications
• Work cross-functionally with business partners, other agile squads, and Site Reliability Engineering teams to prioritize and complete project work
• Communicate and interact frequently with partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience using .NET technology stack
• Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining front-end to back-end cloud (Openshift) and Windows hosted application components
• Experience with security authorization/authentication mechanisms via OAuth, Active Directory, Application Certificates, etc.
• Experience with HTTP, SOAP, and REST protocols supporting Rich and cloud application development
• Understanding of XML structure and data layouts to facilitate movement of data between platforms
• Experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, vulnerability fixes, and refactoring legacy code
