Job summary

Acuren is currently seeking a NDT UT Level 1 Technician – IRATA Rope Access to support projects across our Central region. This role is based locally in Sarnia, ON, with growth opportunities in a dynamic industrial environment.

IRATA Rope Access certification or willingness to obtain is required. Responsibilities include performing UT inspections on piping, welds, and vessels; setting up, calibrating, and operating UT equipment; and documenting indications and reports.

Qualifications

• CGSB UT Level 1 Certification is required.
• IRATA Rope Access certification or willingness to obtain is required.
• Strong safety and quality awareness.
• Ability to maintain positive working relations with clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasonic testing (UT) inspections on piping, welds, vessels, and other industrial components.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate ultrasonic testing equipment in accordance with procedures.
• Identify, evaluate, and document indications, discontinuities, or defects.
• Interpret inspection results and prepare accurate reports and documentation.
• Maintain inspection equipment and ensure tools are in proper working condition.
• Work safely in industrial environments following site and company safety requirements.
• Communicate inspection findings with supervisors, clients, and team members.
