Job summary

Acuren in Langley, BC is seeking an NDT Level 2+ Technician to support projects in the Pacific Region.

Job description

Start date: March 2026

Acuren is currently seeking an NDT Level 2+ Technician to support projects in the Pacific Region, specifically Langley, BC.

  • Start date: March 2026
  • Position will be up to 30-40 hrs./week
  • Rate will be up to $39.56 to 57.36/hr. depending on certifications
Responsibilities
  • Perform Non-Destructive Testing – Conduct inspections using methods such as ultrasonic (UT), radiographic (RT), magnetic particle (MT), liquid penetrant (PT), or eddy current (ET) according to established procedures and standards.
  • Interpret and Evaluate Results – Analyze test data and results, identify discontinuities or defects, and determine if they meet applicable codes, standards, or client specifications.
  • Prepare Reports and Documentation – Accurately document inspection results, maintain records, and generate reports for review by Level 3 technicians or engineering personnel.
  • Maintain Equipment and Ensure Compliance – Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot NDT equipment, and ensure all testing is performed safely and in accordance with industry codes and regulatory standards.

Certification Requirements
  • CGSB Level 2 Certifications required:
    • CGSB Ultrasonic Testing UT2 Certification
    • Magnetic Particle Testing MT2 CGSB Certification
    • Liquid Penetrant Testing PT2 CGSB Certification
  • IRATA training or willingness to obtain is an asset
Other Requirements
  • Reside locally to Langley, BC or willing to relocate.
  • Strong work ethics

  • Exceptional safety and quality awareness
  • Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively
  • Be able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally (English).
  • Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level
  • Possess a valid driver’s license minimum (Class 5) with a clean driving record.
