Weir Canada, Inc. is seeking a Modelling & Simulation Engineer to support the River Class Destroyer (RCD) project and related LBTC activities. The role involves M&S, IV&V, synthetic environments, MBSE, and IT&E, with responsibilities across development, testing, and documentation.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science and experience in defence/naval systems. Strong English communication and familiarity with MATLAB, Python, C++, SQL, and version control are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Experience in defence/naval systems is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and present technical material clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Modelling & Simulation of naval equipment and threats.
• Perform IV&V analysis using M&S data and live trials.
• Develop software requirements and perform software testing for synthetic environments.
• Document technical data and present arguments to stakeholders.
• Maintain positive, collaborative relationships with team members and clients.
