Job summary

Matchtech Group in Canada seeks an Intermediate Naval Architect to execute naval architecture work including stability, hydrostatics, structural assessments, EC and design tasks for a range of vessels.

You will collaborate with shipyards, owners, Class and OEMs, perform surveys, develop design outputs in 2D/3D, and ensure compliance with IMO, Class and Transport Canada standards. A professional engineering credential and security clearance eligibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Naval Architecture.
• Minimum 4 years of Naval Architecture experience.
• Registration with a provincial PE body or eligible.
• Eligible for Canadian security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide Naval Architecture advice and support to external and internal customers.
• Undertake technical work independently with coordination and collaboration.
• Develop feasibility studies, concept designs, and 2D/3D design outputs.
• Lead ship surveys with shipyards, owners, Class and OEMs for design changes and mid-life upgrades.
