Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or equivalent experience is required.
• At least one year experience as a merchant/buyer, in retail sales, or merchandising.
• Analytical approach and ability to use data to guide decisions.
• Financial and retail knowledge with comfort in spreadsheets and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve goals with merchandising, operations, supply chain and marketing partners.
• Build positive relationships with category vendors and external partners.
• Lead promotional programs including product selection, pricing and forecasting.
• Use data to build strategic plans serving customers and driving financial outcomes.
• Support assortment optimization and in-store merchandising strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Research competitive landscape and industry benchmarks on pricing and assortment.
• Monitor category profitability and market share performance.
