Job summary

Loblaw Companies Limited in Canada is seeking an Associate Merchant in our Hard Discount Division to support No Frills and Maxi, delivering great products and customer programs to over 500 stores. The role reports to the Category Director and sits in a data-driven, customer-centric team.

You will manage assortment, pricing, billings and reporting tasks, collaborate with planogram resources, and use SAP/JDA systems.

Qualifications

Post secondary education or equivalent experience.
Ability to contribute to category plans in-line with corporate strategies.
Ability to gather and synthesize customer and market insight.
Good communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
Proficient with MS Office (Excel).
Previous retail experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Execute and complete new item set-up process.
Execute and complete item discontinuation process.
Key all promos into JDA and run integrity reports.
Collaborate with Planogram resources to communicate or reinforce category goals.
Execute cost and retail price changes in templates/systems.
Resolve SAP store notifications.
Work with Supply Chain for distribution of replacement products.
Action code-dated items.
Prepare for and attend internal Over & Above (O&A) meetings.
Input regular O&As into systems.
Track O&As and follow up with vendors on auto and manual O&As.
Review vendor audits.
Run pre-existing reports.
Create ad hoc reports and provide analysis upon request from CM group.
Review prior week’s performance.
Review and action gross profit exception report.
