Job summary

Definity is offering a co-op placement for Winter 2027, eight months in length, with a hybrid work arrangement combining office and remote work. You will support national strategic placements, document SOPs, and collaborate across underwriting, pricing, and other teams while building presentations for leadership reviews.

The role emphasizes collaboration, adaptability, and strong communication. It’s a pathway to potential full-time opportunities within Definity’s broader scope of insurance

• Assist in the creation of summaries and recommendations for new national strategic placement opportunities.
• Document standard operating procedures for new and existing accounts.
• Build presentation skills, preparing business updates on National Strategic Placements operations.
• Foster relationships across the enterprise and work cross functionally with teams, including: corporate underwriting, pricing, regional mid-market, small business, specialty, sales & distribution, claims, finance, legal, marketing, and personal insurance.
• Establish cooperative broker partnerships to identify future opportunities.

What you’ll be doing

• Document standard operating procedures for new and existing accounts
• Build presentation skills, preparing business updates on National Strategic Placements operations

This position is being posted to fill an existing vacancy.

The hourly compensation for the role starts at $22.50 per hour and will increase based on factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, and the recommended rates as set by the respective educational institution.
