Our client, an established and growing Canadian manufacturer of high-quality, premium meat snacks is seeking a National Sales Manager to join their team! This critical role is responsible for driving the growth and presence of their products in Canada’s grocery, health & wellness, gas/convenience and drug store channels. This role balances direct sales, strategic relationship management, and operational leadership of sales brokers and a distributor network. Candidates must have prior experience in CPG grocery sales and be familiar with managing brokers and distributors in a multi-channel environment. This position is ideal for driven sales professionals who thrive in an entrepreneurial setting. Our client offers a remote work arrangement, with occasional travel across Canada (4-6 trips annually).

We would like to thank all applicants however only those under consideration will be contacted.Responsibilities:- Build and deepen authentic relationships throughout the entire sales funnel
- Personally engage with retailer buyers and collaborate with distributor sales reps during store visits and promotional events
- Lead the effort to secure new retail listings
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with the company’s branding and marketing efforts
- Support existing brokers ensuring clear expectations, motivation, and accountability
- Maintain strong partnerships with key distributors, ensuring that distributors and their sales reps actively promote and support the company’s products
- Coordinate annual promotional programs with retailers, brokers, and distributors, ensuring alignment on timing, inventory, and in-store execution
- Regularly analyze sales performance metrics, distributor sales data to retailers, consumer trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to identify growth opportunities
- Provide monthly sales reports and business reviews to leadership, highlighting progress against goals, challenges, and strategic insights
- Travel 4-6 times per year to represent the company at trade shows, key distributor meetings, and retailer visits
- Foster a culture of teamwork, mutual support, and open communication internally as well as with external partners
Qualifications:- Minimum 3 years of experience in CPG grocery sales, with a preference for candidates with National account management experience
- Experience managing brokers, distributors, or sales teams in a multi-channel environment is required
- This position requires a self-motivated sales professional with inventive problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are key for success in this position
- Candidates must have experience building trusting and collaborative relationships across diverse stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with sales data, reporting tools in MS Office Suite are required
- This is a remote position with occasional travel across Canada as indicated above
