Our real estate advisory team specializes in advisory and deal services including transactions, development, strategy, and portfolio optimization, all of which are specifically focused within the real estate industry sector (in addition to real assets).

Meaningful work you’ll be part of

As a National Real Estate Advisory Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Your role will include but is not limited to:

  • Leading and assisting a team working on client engagements and business development efforts
  • Leveraging your significant experience and knowledge in real estate transactions, valuation, development proformas and analysis (whether in Excel or Argus), and coordinating cross functional teams that deliver services including in the areas of real estate organizational design and real estate process reviews
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the PwC network including other lines of services (consulting, tax, assurance, restructuring, corporate finance, data analytics, etc.).
  • Building on your solid understanding of the Canadian real estate market with an existing network of industry professionals and those with significant real estate ownership/usage
  • Leading, overseeing and reviewing real estate market research and feasibility analysis in support of specific development advisory engagements along with financial analysis and underwriting of investment real estate
  • Interacting with a variety of different PwC clients ranging from private companies, family offices and institutions as well as PwC teams across competencies (restructuring, disputes, valuations, infrastructure, etc.)
  • Leading client pursuits, including drafting proposals and pitch documents and meeting with prospective and existing clients for presentations, pitches, etc
  • Developing and leading a project plan for team members to follow while overseeing timelines and budgets
  • Being intricately involved in the quality, content and production of work being performed toward the development of the client solution throughout the engagement cycle
  • Proactively seeking ongoing coaching and feedback on performance and respond effectively and build relationships with team members

Experiences And Skills You’ll Use To Solve

  • Significant years of real estate industry experience with proven financial and analytical skills obtained within a real estate development environment
  • Relevant years of real estate consulting or related experience, including experience managing and overseeing real estate consulting and deal assignments with multi-team members
  • Knowledge of the real estate development and investment process / cycle
  • Experience in analyzing and / or underwriting real estate investments (all asset types preferred) including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and / or Argus is an asset
  • An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
  • Experience in managing and mentoring teams
  • Proven experience in supporting business development
  • Undergraduate degree in Real Estate, Finance or related subject
