You are an experienced and strategic sales leader with a track record of driving growth, leading high-performing teams, and achieving results in competitive markets. You possess strong business acumen, understand customer needs deeply, and can develop strategies that create lasting value. Your leadership fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement, aligning with Ames' core values.

What You’ll Do:

Health & Safety

  • Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Work with the Director of Operations to enhance safety initiatives across the market.

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and implement the market’s strategic plan to support growth and profitability.
  • Assess and optimize organizational structure for efficiency and sustainable growth.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent focused on growth and resource management.
  • Mentor team members, encouraging collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Set objectives, provide feedback, and support professional development.
  • Communicate the Ames Value proposition and strengthen brand positioning.
  • Develop sales strategies to acquire new customers and expand market share.
  • Use market insights to craft profitable sales initiatives tailored to product sectors.
  • Analyze customer and market data to enhance customer experience and strategic decisions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Provide sales forecasts and budgets, informing executive strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with marketing to increase brand visibility and product promotion.
  • Partner with senior leadership to explore and execute growth opportunities.

Accounts & Strategic Partnerships:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and channels.
  • Represent Ames Tile & Stone at industry events as a brand ambassador.
  • Implement best practices across the market in collaboration with leadership.
  • Model Ames’ culture and values, demonstrating integrity, leadership, and customer focus.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experiences, fostering long-term relationships and loyalty.

Your Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of sales leadership with a strong growth record and team management experience.
  • Proven strategic planning and execution skills.
  • Strong financial and market analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle.
  • Customer-centric approach with a passion for service and partnerships.
  • Commitment to safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Industry experience in building materials, design, or construction is advantageous.
