Job summary

Pitt Meadows Plumbing and Mechanical Systems (PMP) in Calgary, AB, seeks a seasoned National Construction Safety Officer to lead Return to Work programs and safety initiatives. This long-term, full-time role offers growth and a competitive compensation package.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum NCSO designation, COR knowledge, and 3+ years in high-rise CSO roles. Experience with commercial projects is a strong asset; Costco Gold Seal is beneficial. Full benefits and RRSP options available.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years as a Certified National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation is required.
• Knowledge and understanding of COR is required.
• A minimum of 3+ years of high-rise experience as a CSO is required; commercial projects are a strong asset.
• Gold Seal certification is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of health and safety where safety is a shared responsibility.
• Support and promote OH&S Program and COR with the Health & Safety Manager.
• Coordinate with HR on WorkSafe BC Claims, LTD, Leave of Absence and Return to Work Programs.
• Conduct Site Visits and monitor safety compliance of workers and subcontractors.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective measures with the Health & Safety Manager.
• Arrange and conduct safety meetings on site.
• Conduct incidents/ investigations, risk assessments and site inspections.
