Qualifications

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Risk Control or Loss Prevention.
• Holding or pursuing a CIP and/or CRM professional designation is an asset.
• Excellent knowledge of applicable fire protection and construction codes and standards.

What the Role Entails :

• Educate BrokerLink commercial brokers on sound risk management by providing advice on risk management and risk mitigation.
• Assist BrokerLink commercial Account Executives and customers implement Risk Control best practices
• Accompany Account Executives on appointments with commercial customers when required
• Provide guidance to BrokerLink customers with inspection report recommendations
• Manage relationship with a national professional risk services company to determine when services for customers are required
• Create Risk Control documents for internal and client facing purposes

The Successful candidate will have :

• University degree (TPI or TAPI), college diploma (DEC) or an Attestation of Collegial Studies (AEC) in fire prevention.
• Holding or pursuing a CIP and / or CRM professional designation is an asset.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Risk Control or Loss Prevention.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications.
• Possession of a valid driver's license in good standing.
• Excellent knowledge of applicable fire protection and construction codes and standards (electrical code, NFPA).
• High degree of professionalism, diplomacy and integrity
• Customer service and sales skills
• Excellent communication; capacity to coach support staff
