We have an opening for a National Commercial Risk Control Consultant to join BrokerLink, working from one of our offices in Alberta or Ontario on a permanent full-time basis.

What the Role Entails:

  1. Educate BrokerLink commercial brokers on sound risk management by providing advice on risk mitigation.
  2. Assist Account Executives and customers in implementing risk control best practices.
  3. Accompany Account Executives on appointments with commercial customers when required.
  4. Provide guidance to customers regarding inspection report recommendations.
  5. Manage relationships with national professional risk services companies to coordinate customer services.
  6. Create risk control documents for internal and client-facing purposes.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  1. If you believe you have the equivalent skills, please apply.
  2. University degree (TPI or TAPI), college diploma (DEC), or Attestation of Collegial Studies (AEC) in fire prevention.
  3. Holding or pursuing a CIP and/or CRM professional designation is an asset.
  4. Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in risk control or loss prevention.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  6. Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  7. Strong knowledge of fire protection and construction codes and standards (electrical code, NFPA).
  8. High professionalism, diplomacy, and integrity.
  9. Excellent customer service and sales skills.
  10. Strong communication skills and ability to coach support staff.
