Qualifications

• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Certified (or eligible) to teach in BC.
• 5+ years of experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting.
• Experience with IB Curriculum preferred.

The 2025-26 faculty grid for this position is$73,263 to $112,656 based on years of experience and a Bachelor of Education. Faculty with a Masters will be paid at a higher range.

What You’ll Do:

• Teach MYP Science across a range of grade levels (Grades 6–10) with the possibility of some DP courses
• Design engaging, inquiry-driven lessons that promote scientific thinking, creativity, and real-world application
• Act as a Homeroom Advisor for 12 Middle School students—supporting their academic and personal growth
• Collaborate with passionate, forward-thinking colleagues during 2.5 hours/week of built-in planning time
• Lead or support co-curricular programs—from science clubs to outdoor education adventures
• Help shape student pathways to graduation, university, and beyond

Who You Are:

• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• Certified (or eligible) to teach in BC
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science or a related field
• Bring 5+ years of experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting
• Experience with IB Curriculum
