As an educator here, you will have the unique opportunity to teach students in Grades 6-10 within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP). You will play a key role in fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning while providing a safe and inclusive space where every student belongs.

What You’ll Do:

  • Connect with and inspire students to outstanding levels of achievement in your subject
  • Serve as Homeroom Advisor for a group of approximately 12 Middle School students
  • Support students’ post-secondary goals by providing reference letters as required
  • Contribute to co-curricular programming (as a club supervisor, coach, etc.) and outdoor education experiences
  • Inspire students to achieve their personal best by providing a rich and engaging programme that develops students’ skills, promotes curiosity and love of learning, and prioritises well-being.
Who you are:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience teaching math and science to adolescents, with a passion for middle school education.
  • Legal entitlement to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid work visa).
  • BC Teacher Certification or the ability to obtain it before beginning employment.
  • A deep understanding of MYP or a willingness to learn and implement the IB framework.
  • An enthusiasm for connecting with students both in and out of the classroom, whether through athletics, clubs, or extracurricular activities.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Experience with the IB MYP or DP and a genuine passion for international education is an asset.
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively in a team while also excelling independently.
