Location: Chesham

Overview

Salary Type: Bucks pay

Contract type: Fixed Term 1 September 2025 - 31 August 2026

Hours: 20 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time plus inset days)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a person interested in music, looking to gain some initial experience working in the School’s Music Department. Typical tasks will include organising rehearsals and extra-curricular activities. Some practical participation will be required.

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills are required together with the ability to use initiative and work under pressure. Above all, applicants must enjoy music and working with young people.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
A proven track record of impact as a teacher and at departmental level
A thorough knowledge and understanding of current developments in teaching, learning and the curriculum
Excellent wider subject knowledge
Musical arrangement and orchestration skills (desirable)
