Job Responsibilities:
The British Columbia Aviation Museum seeks a summer student to assist as a Museum Administration Assistant in operations. The successful candidate will work with the Assistant Director on various projects to support museum operations and gain experience. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the Executive Director and Museum Administrator on projects beneficial for the student's education and museum operations.
- Assisting with planning upcoming events, such as the open house fundraiser.
- Managing filing and records.
- Responding to public inquiries via phone and email.
- Managing social media accounts for the museum.
- Creating ID cards and maintaining databases for volunteers, memberships, and annual passes.
- Supporting other museum tasks as needed, including cashier duties and assisting with artifacts and archives.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age between 15 and 30 years at the start of employment.
- Valid Social Insurance Number (SIN).
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee status in Canada.
Note: International students and temporary residents are not eligible.

- Hours: 35/week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed
