Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a consultant in Toronto, Ontario to provide high-quality support using the Murex platform for market data management and pricing of complex financial products.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of experience in financial markets or IT business analysis, exceptional communication skills, and knowledge of financial derivatives. This position requires strong SQL and Unix skills, along with the ability to troubleshoot and document test cases within the trading domain.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Consultants should be comfortable with at least one asset class (e.g., Commodities, FXO, FI etc.) and demonstrate experience in implementation or client support.
• Provide high‑quality support in using the Murex platform for market data management, pricing, and structuring of complex financial products within the trading domain (e.g., FX derivatives, interest‑rate derivatives, Fixed Income).
• Develop test cases to troubleshoot the system and document defective use cases for fixes by developers.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in financial markets/IT business analysis.
• 2+ years of experience working with the Murex product on Trading or FO support projects with clients.
• Ability to utilize FO experience on financial derivatives and Murex software to participate in implementation and upgrade projects through build and validation phases.
• Strong knowledge of product modules: IRD, CRD, COM, EQD, FXD, FXMM.
• Strong SQL, Unix, scripting, Sybase, and Oracle skills.
• Strong organization and communication skills; detail‑oriented, quick learner, and self‑starter.
• Strong personality, logical and analytical skills.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• BS or higher degree in Finance, Mathematics or equivalent.
• Experience with implementations and upgrades.
• Experience in test management and market data management.
• Knowledge of SQL (Oracle and/or Sybase) and Unix commands.
• Good understanding of Market Risk Management (including VaR, stress‑tests, back‑testing).
