National Bank of Canada is seeking a Murex Expert to join the Capital Markets IT Delivery team in a hybrid work environment. You will work with business and technology partners to implement robust Murex solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and adherence to architectural principles.

The role emphasizes collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement across Front Office, Risk, Operations, and Finance functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field with 7 years of experience, or Master’s with 5 years.
• Deep knowledge of the Murex Front-to-Back platform.
• Strong knowledge of Capital Markets, including derivatives.
• Experience with regulatory trade reporting requirements (CFTC, CSA) is a plus.
• SQL and UNIX knowledge.
• Solid understanding of Agile principles, practices, and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Listen to and understand our business partners’ needs.
• Analyze impacts, develop solutions, and integrate them into the ecosystem.
• Test and implement robust solutions without compromising production stability or performance.
• Ensure solutions are scalable and minimize technical debt.
• Contribute to the evolution of services and solutions within the business environment.
• Make decisions improving business processes and operational efficiency.
• Follow and contribute to team processes with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Influence deployment strategies considering production constraints.
• Develop the team’s Murex expertise.
• Identify and escalate risks and issues with mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with Murex vendor when required.
