Job summary

Municipality of Clarington in Ontario seeks a Project Coordinator, Construction to oversee tendering, contracts, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects such as roads and water systems.

Qualifications

• University degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• OACETT Certified Civil Engineering Technologist (CET) accreditation is preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience in municipal infrastructure construction, including contract administration and project management.
• Experience preparing, reviewing, and managing municipal contracts and tenders.
• Familiarity with public procurement, regulations, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review contracts, track budgets, review shop drawings, and attend progress meetings.
• Track project budgets, forecast costs, schedule, and coordinate subconsultants.
• Prepare tender documents for municipal road infrastructure and review construction designs.
• Ensure as-built drawings are logged and infrastructure added to municipal inventory.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, consultants, and internal departments.
