Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of municipal consulting experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven success in municipal projects and familiarity with municipal and provincial standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong client relationship management and political awareness.
• Leadership in team development and culture building.
• Excellent communication for council presentations and public engagement.
• Ability to integrate climate resilience and sustainability into municipal designs.

Responsibilities

• Build a team of professionals to meet the consulting needs of municipalities, with a focus on Southern Alberta.
• Manage complex projects for municipalities and advise them on municipal best practices.
• Coordinate the planning, design, and construction management of civil/municipal infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with a multidiscipline project team and engage with stakeholders including owners, contractors, sub-consultants, utilities and the public.
• Oversee construction administration, site inspections, and QA/QC compliance.
• Own Western Canada Municipal Infrastructure P&L: revenue, margin, backlog, and utilization targets.
• Develop and execute a growth strategy; drive business development with municipalities.
• Implement quality and safety standards, risk management, and stage-gate reviews.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent; ensure succession planning.
• Champion innovation: low-impact development, digital delivery, and asset management.
